Crystal Garden

Crystal Garden is a pioneering Sci-Art project that embodies a collaboration between creator and nature. This work employs a variety of organic compounds to explore the multiple attributes of nature through the principle of crystallization, presenting the invisible forces of nature through different mediums such as time-lapse films and static entities. It awakens viewers' perception of nature from multiple dimensions.

Crystallization is a common phenomenon in nature. During crystallization, a substance transitions from a disordered solution to an ordered structure—crystals grow like plants, displaying nature's fundamental forms, eventually forming miniature landscapes within petri dishes. Petri dishes, commonly used in microbiology and cell culture, become the stage for crystal growth in Crystal Garden, symbolizing the process of life's development from simplicity to complexity.

Crystal Garden explores and reveals the laws of nature through diverse visual forms, reinterpreting material substances. It presents both the orderly relationships in the natural world and its richness in randomness. Through this, the author interprets the changing and complex world.
